MP: Six Killed, 60 Injured in Firecracker Factory Blaze
In a tragic incident in Madhya Pradesh’s Harda, a firecracker factory witnessed a devastating fire, resulting in the loss of six lives and injuries to 60 others. The blaze triggered multiple explosions, causing panic in the vicinity. The injured individuals, some in critical condition, have been swiftly taken to hospitals. Witnesses reported experiencing tremors in the nearby Seoni Malwa area due to the intensity of the blasts.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has engaged with officials to gather comprehensive details about the incident. He informed through a social media post that Minister Uday Pratap Singh and senior officials are en route to Harda. Medical colleges in Bhopal and Indore are prepared to receive burn patients, and additional fire engines are being dispatched to the scene.
A distressing video captures towering flames and billowing smoke from the factory, with people fleeing in fear on the adjacent road as explosions resonate. Firefighters are diligently working to contain the flames, and the National Disaster Response Force has been summoned to aid in the rescue operation.
An escapee from the factory revealed that approximately 150 workers were present on the premises at the time of the incident. The District Collector, Rishi Garg, affirmed that rescue efforts are underway to manage the situation.
